Grande Prairie woman wins record breaking lottery

A Grande Prairie resident is now a millionaire.

Beverly Eastcott says she was so used to $3 or $4 wins, that when she scanned her winning ticket she did not immediately notice she wad won a record breaking $1,738,739.70 on her LIGHTNING LOTTO ticket until she got home.

Eastcott says she plans to use her winnings to purchase a new house in the country on an acreage, among other spending ideas.

She purchased her winning LIGHTING LOTTO ticket from the Circle K on 84 Avenue in Grande Prairie.
