Grande Prairie local takes second place at Day 1 of Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby

Grande Prairie’s Chanse Vigen kicked off the 2025 Rangeland Derby at the Calgary Stampede with a bang.

Vigen scored second overall in Day 1 of the Derby with a time of 1:12.25 and a Pay Day of $5,200.00.

He came behind Chad Fike, who had a time 1:11.73 and a Pay Day of $6,000.00.

Rounding out the top five are Jamie Laboucane in third, Preston Faithful in fourth and Jason Glass in fifth.

The 2025 Rangeland Derby is set to go 10 nights at the Calgary Stampede.
