Alberta RCMP offering auto theft-resistant tips

Alberta RCMP is offering tips for vehicle owners to prevent auto-related thefts this summer.

Mounties says thefts of and from vehicles can occur anywhere, even when at a campsite or trail head.
Tips offered by the RCMP include:
Keep your vehicle locked
Never leave your vehicle running unattended
Keep keys safe
Hide or lockup valuables
Close windows
Secure your trailer’s hitch with a hitch lock
Use motion sensor lights.

If you see something suspicious, report it to your local police service. If you see a crime in progress, call 911.
