Faust RCMP say arrest made after murder

UPDATE July 12: Faust RCMP say 42-year old Anthony Knott of Edmonton has been charged with murder and is due in Slave Lake court July 16.

Faust RCMP say a suspect has been arrested after a murder in Kinuso.

In a series of news releases issued the evening of Friday, July 11, Mounties said there was a heavy police presence in Kinuso and that they had been called in to help the Lakeshore Regional Police Service with an active shooting.

Police added the suspect was “quickly located, contained and arrested.” No other information like the suspect’s name has been released.

RCMP say the victim is 34-year-old Randy Courteoreille of Swan River First Nation and that he and the suspect knew each other

Police say more information will be released later.
