County of Grande Prairie replacing water main at Hamlet of Bezanson

The County of Grande Prairie is set to begin a multi-week project in the Hamlet of Bezanson today (Tuesday, July 15).

Council has committed $1.2 million to replace the aging water main and curb stops to ensure the continued reliability of Bezanson’s water system.

Work will take place on and around 102 Street east to 100 Street and 100 Avenue south to 98 Street.

The work will include excavation, water pipe and curb stop installation, water service reconnections and surface repairs.

It’s expected to take approximately five weeks to complete, with no disruptions to water service anticipated during the first two weeks of construction.

Construction will take place Monday to Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., residents are advised not to park near the work site.
