Fairview Health Complex ED experiencing temporary disruption

The Fairview Health Complex emergency department will be without an on-site physician for several days this week.

Due to an inability to secure physician coverage, there will be no on-site physician from 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, to 7:00 a.m., Thursday, July 17.

Nursing staff will remain on-site to provide urgent triage and assessment and referrals, while 911 callers with a medical emergency will be rerouted to neighbouring facilities.

The disruption may be cancelled if more coverage is found.
