Cowboys player inching towards all-time AFL points record

Jul 16, 2025 | 2:46 PM

The Peace Country Cowboys road game on Saturday, July 19, will have a little extra attention, as a “cornerstone” of the organization narrows in on the league’s all-time points record.

Cowboys kicker Tyler Fulmek is only 15 points shy of the title, currently held by Mike Leason with 696.

In a post to social media, the Cowboys called Fulmek a “steady presence, a clutch performer, and a true leader.”

“From cold-blooded overtime winners to perfectly placed moonshot kicks,” Fulmek has done it all, suiting up for the original Grande Prairie Drillers and now the Peace Country Cowboys.

The Cowboys will hit the road to wrap up the season, taking on the Cold Lake Fighter Jets on Saturday.
