Jul 16, 2025 | 7:00 AM

Alberta Health Services is notifying the public of further incidents of a person with a confirmed case of measles visiting Grande Prairie locations.

Four different locations have been listed:

  • La-Pradera Mexican Restaurant on July 6 from 11:25 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
  • The Grande Prairie Winners on July 6 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • The 92 Street Shoppers Drug Mart on July 8 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:40 p.m.
  • The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Unit 22 surgery on July 7, 8 and 10, all from 7:00 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.

Anyone who attended any of these locations on those dates and has fewer than two doses of the measles vaccine may be at risk of infection.

Pregnant women, children under five, and those with weakened immune systems are at higher risk.

If symptoms do develop, individuals should stay at home and call the measles hotline before visiting any healthcare provider.
