Horse racing
Horse racing continues Saturday and Sunday at Evergreen Park.
Post time will be 1:15 p.m. both days.
The Wiener Dog Derby will be run on Sunday.
Racing goes until August 24. There will also be races held on Monday, August 4.
Rodeos
The Fairview Amateur Rodeo goes Saturday and Sunday at the Waterhole rodeo grounds.
Start time will be 12:30 both days.
The rodeo slack will be held on Sunday starting at 8 a.m.
The Manning WRA Rodeo also goes Saturday and Sunday.
Start time will be noon on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Rodeo slack 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Wheatbelt Baseball League playoffs
Rycroft and Peace River now both have 2-0 leads in the Wheatbelt Baseball League semi-finals.
The Rage beat the County Brewers 7-2 Thursday night, while the Stampeders shut out Grimshaw 12-0.
The Huskies will visit Peace River in the next game of their series on Monday.
Rycroft will host the Brewers on Tuesday.
Both games will start at 7:15 p.m.
Football and Rugby
The Peace Country Cowboys conclude the Alberta Football League regular season Saturday in Cold Lake.
The Cowboys are 3-2 so far this season.
The Grande Prairie Sirens and Centaurs rugby teams will visit St. Albert on Saturday.
