Cowboys close AFL regular season with a win

The Peace Country Cowboys scored, what a post on their social media page calls, one of the biggest wins in franchise history.

They won 28-24 in Cold Lake on Saturday.

Both the Cowboys and Fighter Jets now have 4-2 records, behind only the 5-0 Calgary Gators.

The Cowboys have a bye this weekend, the final weekend of the Alberta Football League regular season.

The playoffs start on August 9 with the quarterfinals.
