Peace River RCMP say they have arrested a man on what they call “multiple violence-related warrants.”

Mounties say they got a call on July 13 about shots being fired at a vehicle.

The victims later told police they had a firearm pointed at them by someone they knew.

The suspect took off in a pick-up carrying a quad.

The suspect was later located with help from other witnesses and arrested with help from several RCMP agencies.

Forty-one-year-old Rodney Conrad Ominayak of Little Buffalo is facing a long list of charges that include nine firearms counts, mischief under $5000 and two charges each of dangerous operation or a motor vehicle, uttering threats, flight from police and resisting a peace officer.

Ominayak was also arrested on warrants.

He has been remanded and is due in Peace River court July 28.
