The investigation started in October of 2023 and included seven searches of seven different homes from November 27-30 of that year.

A release from ALERT says these were all independent arrests but all had in common that people would access and upload what that release calls “child sex abuse material.”

The investigation started after officials noticed an increase in case referrals from Grande Prairie.

One other person charged, Naitram Ramnarane, was given a year in jail and two years probation last October after pleading guilty to accessing child pornography.

He was charged after RCMP received a complaint of someone walking around with a handgun on February 27, 2025. Police later learned that it was a BB gun.

Mounties also said at the time the suspect was at the Composite High School

A release from the Grande Prairie Public School Division said that the suspect was never on school property, there was never a hold and secure at the school and the suspect was arrested in Muskoseepi Park between the Comp. and NWP.

Blake Everett Lee entered into the bond in Fairview court.

Lee was charged after what Fairview RCMP described as multiple residential fires in the area of 108 Avenue in Fairview on April 25, 2025.

Peace bonds come with several conditions attached.

Lee is still due to stand trial on charges of arson for a fraudulent purpose and two counts of arson causing damage December 11 in Fairview court.

Alberta Justice say charges against a woman charged in a Grande Prairie Drug arrest have been withdrawn.

Marie Gelinas had been facing one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking. The charged was withdrawn in Grande Prairie court ahead of a scheduled preliminary hearing.
