UPDATE July 31: The County of Grande Prairie says there will be an extended closure on Range Road 63 because of construction.

The road will be closed between Highway 43 and Township Road 724 from 7 p.m. Thursday July 31 until 7 a.m. on Friday, August 1.

Also, as of 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, single lane alternating traffic will be in place between Emerson Trail and the Clairmont landfill. This will stay in place until 7 a.m. Saturday, August 2.

The County of Grande Prairie has temporarily closed Range Road 63 for construction work.

The road is closed between Township Road 723 and Township Road 724 until 7:00 a.m. Thursday July 31, with a single lane alternating traffic from Highway 43 to Township Road 723.

Additional closures are anticipated to occur between Township Road 723 and Township Road 730 on Thursday and Friday; residents are advised to avoid the area until further notice.

Once the closures have ended Range Road 63, from Highway 43 to Highway 672 (Emerson Trail), will remain under construction with single lane alternating traffic and flagging personnel in place for approximately three weeks, weather dependent.

The County is also advising the public construction has begun on Range Road 110, and it will operate as single-lane alternating traffic from Highway 59 to Township Road 750 for roughly three weeks.
