Mobile mammography service in Worsley, Fairview next week

Alberta Health Services says its mobile mammography service will be in both Worsley and Fairview next week.

It will be at the Worsley Health Complex on August 6 and the Fairview Health Complex August 6 to 9.

AHS says this is for “eligible individuals aged 45 to 74.”

AHS also says this is the best way to detect breast cancer early when treatment may be more effective.

The service will also be in Fairview August 11-16 and August 18-20.

There are also stops planned for the Grimshaw Berwyn Health Complex August 21-23 and the Peace River Community Health Centre August 25 to 27.

There is no cost for the screening. Anyone coming does have to have an appointment. These can be booked by calling 1-800-667-0604.
