West Grande Prairie Regional Transfer Station closing until the fall

The West Grande Prairie Regional Transfer Station is closing until late September.

The station will be closed from August 5 to September 20 while it undergoes upgrades.

The upgrades will allow the facility to continue operating as a transfer station long-term after first opening as a temporary transfer station in 2024.

During the closure, County residents will still have access to other local transfer stations in Clairmont, Demmitt and Teepee Creek.
