Wildfire danger now high in the Peace River Forest Area

The wildfire danger has climbed to high in the Peace River Forest Area in this hot weather.

There are currently two active wildfires.

The Slims Creek wildfire burning 30 kilometres north of Manning is listed as being held.

The Bison Lake wildfire located 65 kilometres east of Manning on the east side of the Peace River has had what fire watchers call minimal spread over the last few days. There is no threat to infrastructure from this blaze.
