UPDATE: Grande Prairie RCMP say localized flooding subsided

UPDATE: Aug. 2, 9:25 p.m.

Grande Prairie RCMP advise that the localized flooding has subsided and the intersections are clear. Please continue to drive with caution.

Mounties in the Swan City are reporting several intersections in the city are heavily flooded in the north side and impassible due to heavy rains Saturday afternoon.

Police are cautioning against travel until the situation is resolved.

If you need to travel, please ensure you exercise caution when on flooded streets and to slow down on highways.
