More people contagious with measles confirmed at Grande Prairie locations July 23

Aug 6, 2025 | 6:00 AM

Alberta Health Services says persons with confirmed cases of measles have recently visited public areas in Grande Prairie.

The individuals who were contagious were at the Grand Banks Medical Clinic on July 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the Lipon Professional Centre on the same day from 11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Anyone who visited either of those locations during those times and has not received two doses of the measles vaccine may be at risk.

If anyone starts to experience symptoms of measles, AHS asks that they stay home and contact the hotline at 1-844-944-3434.

Pregnant individuals, children under five, and those with weakened immune systems are at higher risk.
