City of Grande Prairie sharing info on 2025 Municipal Election

With a municipal election scheduled to take place in the fall, the City of Grande Prairie has opened registration for advanced polls.

Residents wanting to cast their vote ahead of the 2025 election day will need to register by Friday, Agust 15. This can be done by visiting voterlink.ab.ca.

If residents don’t register, they will just have to vote at a polling station come election day on October 20.

With election day around the corner the city is also putting on an information session for prospective candidates on Wednesday August 20, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Grande Prairie Museum.

Attendees will learn the ins and outs of council including how municipal finances are handled. There is no cost to take part in the session, but pre-registration is required.

Election day is set for Monday, October 20.
