Magee takes Day 1 at Dawson Creek’s Battle of the North

The WPCA Pro Tour moved on quickly after the Strathmore Stampede over the Heritage Day long weekend up to Dawson Creek where the Battle of the North kicked off last night.

Racetrack conditions were very good and it was a comfortable 18C degrees as Evan Magee opened up the competition with the fastest time of the night with a 1:14.15.

Rounding out the top four were Strathmore Stampede’s winner Jason Glass, Jamie Laboucane, and Kris Molle.

The top driver in the aggregate after Saturday night will get a one-year lease of a 2025 GMC Truck courtesy of Banister GM Dawson Creek. The top 4 drivers in the aggregate after Saturday’s run will go into $30,000.00 Championship Final Heat on Sunday, where the winner will be crowned the 2025 Battle of the North Champion.
