More confirmed measles cases in a public setting

Another case of measles was out in a public setting in the north zone this week, according to AHS.

Someone who had a confirmed case of measles was at the Fairview Health Complex Emergency Department from 11 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, until 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6.

AHS says anyone who was at the Fairview ED during that time, and has not received their vaccination, are at risk of developing the disease.

If measles symptoms develop AHS asks that you stay home and call the hotline at 1-844-944-3434.
