Peace River armed robbery suspect now in custody

After an armed robbery at a residence in Peace River on July 15, an arrest was made yesterday (Thursday, August 7)

When Peace River Mounties first responded to this call back in July, the suspect had already fled; an investigation helped them determine this was a targeted incident, which led to identifying the suspect and making an arrest.

Thirty-seven-year-old Jayson Ryan Arndt, of St. Isidore, had eight charges laid:

• Robbery with a firearm
• Assault causing bodily harm
• Uttering threats
• Pointing firearm
• Possession of a weapon for A dangerous purpose
• Possession of a firearm knowing it is unauthorized
• Possession of a weapon contrary to an order
• Theft of a motor vehicle
