Bensmiller wins 2025 Battle of the North

Chance Bensmiller is the 2025 Battle of the North Champion

Bensmiller captured the championship last night in Dawson Creek, B.C., as well as the $15,000 bonus cheque with a penalty free run of 1:13.71 in the championship final heat.

It was his second time capturing the title, the first was back in 2008.

Aggregate winner Chanse Vigen placed second from barrel number 4, 47 one-hundredths of a second behind Bensmiller. Jason Glass grabbed third from barrel position number 1, while Obrey Motowylo placed fourth from barrel position number 2.

Earlier in the evening, Chance Thomson was presented with the Kenn Borek Memorial Most Sportsmanlike Driver award.

The WPCA Pro Tour will conclude this week down in Rocky Mountain House from Aug. 13-17 for the Battle of the Rockies.
