Fairview Emergency Department experiences another measles exposure

AHS is alerting the public that there was another individual contagious with measles at the Fairview Health Complex ED last week.

Anyone who attended the emergency department on Friday, August 8, from 11:15 am to 5:35 pm, and hasn’t received their vaccination is at risk of developing measles.

If Measles symptoms develop, AHS asks that you stay home and call the hotline at 1-844-944-3434.

That same week, on Tuesday, August 5, AHS confirmed an individual with measles was in the ED overnight.
