GPFA wildfire danger level lowers to moderate

The Grande Prairie Forest Area wildfire rating is back at moderate.

Recent rainfall has lowered the overall wildfire risk, but Alberta Wildfire is cautioning that wildfires can still start in dry areas and during windy conditions.

A fire advisory is in effect for the area. Any burning without a valid permit is prohibited.

Of the six fires currently burning in the Grande Prairie Forest Area. Four are listed as being held; the other two are under control.
