Trader Ridge multi-sports dome construction to get underway

A groundbreaking ceremony for a new multi-sports dome in Trader Ridge will take place Monday, Aug. 18.

The new dome will house a FIFA sized soccer field on land City Council spent $2.3 million to purchase.

Multiple local dignitaries from both the City and County will be on hand to mark the occasion; including Grande Prairie Mayor Jackie Clayton, County Reeve Bob Marshall and Burke Atkinson, President of Atkinson Construction.

The groundbreaking will get underway at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, at the corner of 103 Street and 139 Avenue in Trader Ridge.
