Cowboys advance to first-ever AFL final

The Peace Country Cowboys will play the Calgary Gators in the Alberta Football league final.

The Cowboys grabbed their first-ever spot in the title game with a 24-18 win over the Cold Lake Fighter Jets in a semi-final game played Saturday at CKC Field.

A post on the Cowboys social media page described the game as “”an absolute battle under the lights.”

The Cowboys will travel south to play the Gators in Airdrie on Saturday. Kick-off time will be 5 p.m.
