The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Brandon Lee Campiou of Driftpile First Nation.

RCMP had previously said that Lakeshore Regional Police were called out to a weapons complaint along Eva Road around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

His death was ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner after an autopsy was done in Edmonton.
