The World Professional Chuckwagon Association’s season has come to a close following its final weekend down in Rocky Mountain House for the Battle of the Rockies/WPCA World Finals.

Racing wrapped up Sunday afternoon where Jason Glass claimed the $25,000 Battle of the Rockies Championship crown in the final heat with a penalty free run time of 1:12.35; setting a new track record. It was the first time Glass has won the Battle of the Rockies.

The night prior, Night 4 of the WPCA World Finals, Grande Prairie native Chanse Vigen pulled through to defend his title and become part of an elite club of wagon drivers that have done a consecutive three-peat of holding the title of World Champion Chuckwagon by just 4.5 points over Jason Glass.

Alongside Vigen was his outrider Rory Gervais, who also won his fourth World Outriding Championship by a large margin of 652 points over the two-time reigning World Champion Outrider Ethan Motowylo.

The Equine Outfit of Excellence winners were:

  • Champion Right Leader “JUNIOR” of Chanse Vigen’s outfit
  • Champion Left Leader “THREE SCORE” of Jamie Laboucane’s outfit
  • Champion Right Wheeler “LUCKY” of Logan Gorst’s outfit
  • Champion Left Wheeler “BRO” of Chad Fike‘s outfit

“CALM” of Jason Glass’ outfit and “RUNNER” of Obrey Motowylo’s outfit were the Champion Outriding Horses.

The WPCA would like to congratulate the 2025 World Champions, driver Chanse Vigen and outrider Rory Gervais, and all of the Champion Drivers and Outriders at all the stops along the WPCA Pro Tour and the Calgary Stampede.

The WPCA Pro Tour will kick off again in 2026 at the first stop of the season; the Grande Prairie Stompede.
