Pelland and Team Canada play Bulgaria in first match at Women’s World Championship

The 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Worlds Championship starts Aug. 22 in Thailand, and a Peace Region athlete is representing the maple leaf.

Wahnam’s Quinn Pelland and Team Canada kick off the tournament against Bulgaria in their first match.

The Canadian ladies are making their fifth straight appearance at this event and are in Pool E this year. Their best ever finish was back in 2022, when they placed 10th.

The competition goes until Sept. 7 across four cities in Thailand. Canadian matches can be viewed on VBTV.
