Alberta Justice says one of two people charged after a 2023 drug bust has been given a sentence of 18 months time served in jail.

Bradley Victor Morency of Peace River pleaded guilty to two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one of possession of a firearm in Peace River court.

Four other charges related to drugs and stolen property were withdrawn.

Last October, co-accused Jesse Nadeau of Grimshaw was given a conditional sentence after pleading guilty to possession for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking a controlled substance.

Both were arrested in July of 2023 after a search of a home turned up, among other things, cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine and a flame thrower.

Peace River RCMP said at the time that their investigation started in May of 2023.
