Cowboys coach on playing in the AFL championship: “Everyone is feeling good about it.”

“We know it’s a tall order with the Gators. They’ve been dominant for the last year, year-and-a-half, last two seasons in the AFL.”

“We’ve got a great group of guys here on the Cowboys who all believe in each other. They believe in the program, and they know that they’re going to go down there and give them a fight.”

Head Coach Brennon Edgar says the players all have access to film they can study to get ready for the big game.

“We’ve been getting together as a team more often this year to break down some tape. I know we did that the first Gators game and a couple games in the regular season.”

“A lot of the guys have really impressed me with their ability to step up and take ownership over things (and) doing things like that on their own, the studying of the film, the breaking the plays down, coming up with ideas.”

Edgar was recently named the Alberta Football League’s Coach of the Year.

He says this is a reflection of the team and “the effort multiple people have put into this season.”
