Planned water outage in Bezanson next week

Aug 22, 2025 | 11:20 AM

The County of Grande Prairie wants to let residents in the community of Bezanson know ahead of time of a planned water outage.

The planned outage is set for Monday, Aug. 25, 2025. This is being done due to the ongoing water main and curb stop replacement project.

Water services will be unavailable from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for households located within the red area on the outage map below:

The Bezanson Truck Fill station will also be unavailable during this time period.

After the full shutdown is completed, households will experience brief disruptions in water service, from two to four hours, between Aug. 26 and Sept. 2, 2025, as new houses get connected to the system. These residences will be told beforehand by contractors prior to any disruptions in service.

This project began on July 15 and has consisted of excavation, water pipe and curb stop installation, water service reconnections, and surface repairs. The county asks residents to not park near where the work is taking place and excercise caution around construction zones.

Work is expected to wrap up the week of Sept. 2, 2025.
