Measles exposure reported at Fairview Medical Clinic

Aug 23, 2025 | 6:00 AM

Alberta Health Services says someone with a confirmed case of measles has been out in public while infectious.

This was at the Fairview Medical Clinic August 14 between 11 a.m. and 1:20 p.m.

AHS says anyone who was at the same place at the same time, has had less than two doses of measles vaccine and was born after 1970 is most at risk of contracting the disease.

Symptoms include a fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and a rash that starts three days to a week after the fever starts.

Anyone who thinks they may have measles is asked to call the hotline.
