Eastlink Centre aquatic’s area annual shutdown in effect

The Eastlink Centre’s aquatic’s zone will now be closed until Oct. 5 as they begin their it’s annual shutdown maintenance.

During that time, residents can still use the Aquatera Outdoor Pool until Sept. 21, while Eastlink Centre or Grande Access Pass holders can access the Beaverlodge Swimming Pool.

During the closure Eastlink Pass holders also have the option to either, cancel or pause their membership by calling 311; However, the city encourages residents to try some of their other amenities, such as a dryland fitness class being offered instead of aquatics fitness.

This year’s maintenance will include a deep cleaning, annual inspections, mechanical maintenance and infrastructure upgrades:

  • Refurbishing the splash pad
  • Tile repairs in family and adult hot tubs
  • Painting throughout the pool area
  • Repairing the pool basin
  • Surge tank cleaning and inspection
  • Refurbishing the sauna
  • Change room maintenance and repairs
