Canada-wide warrant issued for man wanted in relation to 2018 homicide

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Christian Nyabirungu, 35, is wanted in relation to the murder of Aldane Mesquita that occurred on Sept. 13, 2018.

He is facing charges of murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.

He is described as six-feet two-inches tall and 240 pounds with black skin, black hair, and brown eyes.

Police say Nyabirungu has ties to Edmonton, North Battleford, Sask., Toronto, Ont. and has family in Montreal, Que.

Mounties say he is dangerous and should not be approached by the public.
