Phone service outage in Rainbow Lake area

The City of Grande Prairie is reporting a phone service outage affecting the northern communities of Rainbow Lake and Chateh.

Impacted customers are unable to use mobile phones, cell phones, and internet.

Telus is aware of the outage and is currently investigating; there is currently no estimated time of repair.

Anyone in need of emergency services is encouraged to still try 9-1-1 first, as there may be fallback coverage available in that area, otherwise they can utilize the Emergency SOS Satellite function on their mobile devices.
