Touch-A-Truck fundraiser taking place in Grande Prairie September 6

Sep 4, 2025 | 5:25 PM

Grande Prairie residents and visitors are invited Saturday, Sept. 6 to get a close up with some of the trucks they see driving around their community.

The Bonnetts Energy Centre parking lot is hosting the second annual Touch-a-Truck event, a fundraiser for Special Olympics Grande Prairie.

Games Manager Lisa Kerkhof says the event is being done to raise funds to send some of Grande Prairie’s athletes to the Canadian Special Olympics Summer Games in 2026

Kerkhof says participants will be able to interact with a wide variety of vehicles.

She says last year’s touch-a-truck had around 2,000 people attend and raise roughly $7,000.
