2025 Municipal Election Nomination Day set

The City of Grande Prairie has issued the “official notice of Nomination Day for the 2025 Municipal Election,” set for October.

Nomination Day has been set for Monday, Sept. 22.

That means anyone interested in running for City Council or other City positions must submit their nomination forms by that date.

In this upcoming election, nine spots on council, including Mayor, are vacant, as well as seven public school trustee positions, and five separate school trustee positions are also available.
