City of Grande Prairie hosting worm composting workshop Sept. 15

A workshop happening in Grande Prairie next week will show that worms in your house can sometimes be a good thing.

The workshop will teach participants about vermicomposting, an indoor composting process using red wiggler worms to break down kitchen scraps into nutrient-rich soil for spring gardening.

Participants will be given the materials needed to create their own vermicomposting bin, ready for use by spring 2026.

The workshop is on September 15 from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion.
