Grande Prairie Public Library launches Accessible Collection
The Grande Prairie Public Library has unveiled a new collection of curated books, toys and sensory materials to make play more inclusive and accessible for children of all abilities.
The new Accessible Collection aims to break down barriers within GPPL’s offerings by using modified and disability-friendly objects such as sturdier books, braille UNO, and switch-activated toys for children with motor difficulties or learning difficulties to play.

We’re excited to offer a space where children can experience books and play in ways that meet their unique needs. And we look forward to continuing to expand and improve this collection as we learn more about the needs of our community. Emily Rempel, Children’s Programmer – Outreach and Events
