NWP announces new intakes for Winter 2026 semester

Sep 16, 2025 | 12:05 PM

Northwestern Polytechnic has added three additional programs to their Winter 2026 lineup.

NWP’s brand-new Information Technology Specialist Certificate will have it’s first intake in 2026, along with their Graphic Design program, which was moved up to an earlier start date, and the second intake for their in-demand Social Work Diploma.

These programs reflect our commitment to providing timely and relevant, hands-on education that meets the needs of students and employers alike. We are proud to continue building pathways that connect learners to meaningful careers in the North. Dr. Vanessa Sheane, NWP President and CEO

Each of these offerings has been intentionally designed to provide students with the latest knowledge and meaningful, hands-on experiences. By combining industry partnerships, work-integrated learning, and access to state-of-the-art facilities, we are positioning our graduates for success from day one. Dr. Jodi Schultz, NWP Vice President Academic.

The IT Specialist Certificate was created through a partnership between NWP and Keyano College, with a joint course for learners from both institutions taking part in the first semester.

Keyano College is proud to partner with Northwestern Polytechnic. Our collaboration on the new IT Specialist certificate highlights how institutions can work together to meet the needs of students and the labour market. We look forward to growing such opportunities and enriching the learning experience. Dr. Coert Erasmus, Keyano College Dean of Business, University Studies and Academic

Applications for the Winter 2026 intake are open now.
