Alberta Next Panel stopping in Grande Prairie

Sep 17, 2025 | 6:00 AM

The Alberta Next Panel will stop in Grande Prairie tonight (Wednesday, September 17).

The town hall-style meeting will start at 6 p.m. and is scheduled to run for three hours. A location has not been announced. People are being asked to register ahead of time.

The website for the Alberta Next Panel calls the sessions a “province-wide consultation to chart our path, secure our economy and assert our sovereignty within a united Canada.”

The panel’s website also says, “Albertans need a direct say in how to strengthen our sovereignty within a united Canada.”

Once the town halls wrap up in Calgary, Sept. 29, the website says the panel will look at policy options and look at what questions could be put to a province-wide vote in 2026.
