Closure extended for West Grande Prairie Regional Transfer Station

The West Grande Prairie Regional Transfer Station will remain closed until early October.

The station was originally set to reopen Sept. 20 while it undergoes an upgrade, but has been delayed till Oct. 6 due to delays.

The upgrades will allow the facility to continue operating as a transfer station long-term after first opening as a temporary transfer station in 2024.

During the closure, County residents will still have access to other local transfer stations in Clairmont, Demmitt and Teepee Creek.
