Suspicious death in Fox Lake prompts investigation by RCMP Major Crimes Unit

Mounties in Fox Lake as well as the Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit, are investigating a suspicious death in northern Alberta.

Police were alerted of individuals causing a disturbance on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 2:30 a.m. in the Fox Lake area, east of High Level.

RCMP attended the scene and found an injured male, who they transported to hospital, but despite life-saving efforts, the man was pronounced deceased. No details of the victim have been released by authorities.

The circumstances surrounding the victims injuries and death have been deemed suspicious. The MCU has taken carriage of the investigation.
