Stolen property, suspected drugs among items seized by Peace Regional RCMP in vehicle stop

Sep 20, 2025 | 6:00 AM

Peace Regional RCMP say a stop of a suspicious vehicle in the Dixonville area led to the seizure of suspected drugs, stolen property, weapons and a stolen truck.

Mounties were on patrol on September 18 looking for one suspicious vehicle when they found another one with a plate that did not match.

The vehicle had been stolen from a home in Mackenzie County on August 7 of this year.

The recovered items included suspected amphetamine in various forms, suspected GHB, tools, jewellery and what police called “evidence of copper stripping.”

Police say the amphetamine resembled beads that might be used in crafts or for kids to play with.

RCMP are waiting for lab results before laying any charges.

They add they are trying to find the rightful owners of the stolen property.

“RCMP are seeking public assistance in providing any information that may assist the investigation with identifying the individuals driving the vehicle, or any information regarding the drugs or firearm located inside,” added Mounties in a news release.

The vehicle is a bluer Ford F-150.
