Applications open for City of Grande Prairie 2026 Boards, Committees & Commissions

The City of Grande Prairie is inviting the public to sign up for positions on their various boards, committees or commissions.

The public member positions help ensure Grande Prairie City Council’s decisions reflect the community’s voices and experiences.

A total of 30 positions are available across seven groups:

  • Assessment Review Board – five positions
  • Combative Sports Commission – seven positions
  • Community Advisory Committee – two positions
  • Community Knowledge Campus Advisory Committee – seven positions
  • Grande Prairie Airport Commission – three positions
  • Grande Prairie Public Library Board – four positions
  • Joint Appeals Board – three positions

“Serving on a board, committee, or commission is a meaningful way to strengthen our community and ensure a variety of perspectives are part of City decision-making,” explains Jackie Clayton, Mayor of the City of Grande Prairie. “We are grateful to the many residents who contribute their time and expertise to improving the quality of life in Grande Prairie.”

Applicants must be 18 years or older to apply, applications close Nov. 21, 2025.
