GPES identifies party responsible for Aug. 28 asphalt spill

Sep 23, 2025 | 12:00 PM

Grande Prairie Enforcement Services has identified the party responsible for an asphalt spill in late August.

On Aug. 28, at 8:50 a.m., Peace Officers and city crews responded to a report of asphalt falling off the back of a truck along 116 Street, between 77 and 84 Avenue, creating a hazard for motorists.

GPES says the party responsible was identified, thanks to the public confirming the exact date, time and vehicle involved and the company involved for contacting Peace Officers.

Officials say the spill was addressed immediately to prevent any further damage and ensure public safety.
