Mayor, council seats in Grimshaw filled by acclamation

There will be a lot of new faces around the council table in Grimshaw after the mayor’s office and six council positions were filled by acclamation.

Current deputy mayor and councillor Stacey Messner will take over as mayor from Wendy Wald, who is not seeking re-election.

Newcomers will also fill four of the six positions on council.

The new councillors are Tanya Allen, John Bak, John Krantz, and Dirk Thomspon.

Incumbents Lynn Florence and Colleen Sklapsky are back for another term.

Incumbents Stephen Hennings, Carmen Johnson, and Bob Regal are not running again
