Wanted man and another arrested outside of Fairview

The Western Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit have arrested two individuals after investigating a known prolific offender.

On Thursday, September 25, 2025, Mounties were tracking the wanted person driving backroads in the Fairview area when he ditched his vehicle. The suspect and a female passenger fled on foot.

The Fairview RCMP, as well as Police Dog Services, were called in to assist and helped in arresting both.

A search of the ditched vehicle and individuals turned up two firearms and the vehicle was confirmed to have been stolen out of Peace River.

As a result, 41-year-old Malcom Henry Testawits and 39-year-old Amy Lee Lacosse, both of no fixed address, were charged with:

  • Dangerous driving
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Firearm related offences (X7)

Furthermore, Testawits was also charged with:

  • Assaulting a police officer
  • Possession of firearm or weapon while prohibited (X3)
  • Operation of a motor vehicle while unauthorized

The pair were brought before a Justice of the Peace and were both remanded into police custody. They are to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Fairview on Monday, September 29, 2025.
